    Angry

They are still captives , but i wonder in what state of health , with no funds thy will never get a ransom paid , I hope that someone , somewhere takes action , but when convicted terrorists cannot be repatriated to their homeland of Pakistan as it will infringe their human rights , I dont hold much hope out for the Chandlers . I was thinking when the terrorists had their appeal against deportation upheld , when does the Human Rights of the victims overcome the Human Rights of the purpatrator . I couldnt work the answer out , so that is a reflection on how bad this country has got .

Look to history. The RN suppressed piracy BIG time in the 18th century, with 18th century technology. It appears that World Navies cannot cope in the 21st century. Whats going on? Perhaps lessons can be learnt from Navies who are somewhat more agressive, notably the Russian/Indian/French. Shipping companies who just roll-over and pay-up are only making things worse. Well thats my opinion! Cheers

    Default Somalia pirates

I realise Raymondo you are in Toulouse and I agree with your observations.
I am in Glasgow and there is something "f-cked up" here as well. I think it is all over UK a general malaise.

    Thumbs down

Maybe we should change the Union Jack , and rebrand ourselves Little Britain , with a White Flag . Any cheap housing in Toluse Raymondo ? , If it wasnt for liking wet miserable weather , and a delightful ability to lose in Cricket and Football and Rugby , I would flee these shores tomorrow , There are a few French Owned ferries still leaving Portsmouth daily , the British ones surrendered years ago

A few years since I was last in U.K. but somehow I get the feeling the GREAT has been taken awayu from great Brittain. What happened to the great proud country that stood up to the challenges of Hitler? Where are those guys today with courage and fortitude who would take on these rag heads and say to hell with you and your like. Could it be the U.K. gov is afraid of upsetting the Islamic brigade?

I sympathize mate. I have lived in France for many years, a still proud Country. No nonsense here with terrorist suspects walking free. France has its problems but also has major industries, ship building/manufactering and the health service is superb. No waiting lists here for anyone. Every time I visit the UK I feel depressed by the speed at which the Great Britain I knew is dissapearing.

I see the Chandlers weer on TV News last night , they looked relativly well , they were appealing to the UK government to pay the ransom , I NEVER see that happening , nor do I agree witth paying , the more people pay the more it encourages this scum to carry on its Piracy , lets hope that David Cameron and Co , replies with the SAS and gets these people free . There seemed to be an implication that the Chandlers were treated like animals and would be put to death if he ransom was not paid ( reading between the lines , not quoted ) Sad as it sounds , I would still not pay one penny , but I would start raiding the home bases and shooting the pirates , to show them that their filthy trade does not pay !!!

They look quite well,if a little gaunt, and eloquently spoken. How fearful it must be for them though.
Let's await developments-a reply from this coalition government is now in order.
