A few years ago I had the Mispleasure of working with Babcock who were a local supplier of services to the army . I was working for a contractor who will carrying out work for them and I must say that I was left in the disbelief and how they spent what was basically government money and the quality of the engineering services that they provided so I am not surprised buy any government contractor failing . I always felt that the government controlled works department were efficient but all they did was replaced them with inefficient contractors I'm afraid from my personal observation control amongst defence contractors is poo

Rob, slightly off topic but saw in the article posted reference to the House of Lords posing an undemocratic suggestion regarding BREXIT.

As was once said about our senate, 'unrepresentative swill.

I thought under the constitution the Lords could not overturn a Commons motion but can put forward amendments.?

They can propose an amendment but it can always be turned over by The Commons and sent back the Lords have no constitutional right to overturn anything of the commons . I believe the when they get it back from the House of Commons for the second or third time they are obliged to pass it through. The trouble is with the whole of this brexit debate is those that have always been against leaving are doing everything they can to either decry the government efforts or to throw a spanner in the Works they just don't want us to leave and I stood in that position and to a large extent still do but now we're on the way out I think that we need to back the system and say let's get out let's get out clean and let's get out quick

Thanks for that Rob, had an idea that was how it worked.

But any new concept will always be viewed scepticaly by some, hang in there mate, March 19 will soon come around.
