I videoed and watch the programme last night.
Surprised that the propeller blades were cited to the hub at the last-minute. No testing took place.
On all of the ships that I worked on when fitting out,M.E were all tests and ran when tie up alongside. Even on the Clan Ranald after main big overhauls we did test runs whilst tied up.
The main aim was ensure that : - A the engine worked
B: there was no out of balance in the prop shaft/ propellor.
C: Alarms were tested etc.etc.
Another tests was that , load testing of the generators was undertaken.
Maybe it was done and not shown, though I doubt it.

I wonder if that has something to do with the fact that it's electric propulsion to a fixed bladed prop . I would have thought the electric motors would have been balanced in manufacture and the propellers themselves statically and dynamically balanced in Production don't know just guessing

According RR the manufactures the prop is described as an adjustable bolted prop.
The blades can be adjusted to suit the service conditions.

I don't think it's a variable pitch prop hub I think you actually have to go with a spanner and move the prop blades individually not sure how it works it's a totally new one on me

Thanks Rob but the big question is Why? seems a lot of palaver to a layman when you have so many CP systems on the market, can't be her size, as there are larger vessels with CPs
