    Hello Jim
Don't know if this is perhaps the same one you talk of?
    Cheers

News: Liverpool News - Liverpool Echo

Just type in Royal Navy Ships on the Mersey in the search Box at top right of the page that opens!??

PS That Peter Kavanagh’s Pub shown on Main page is that one of the old Seamans Pubs then known as The Liver, The Liver Hotel, The Grapes !??
    What a great interior!

Peter Kavanaghs is at the end of Catherine Street by Upper Parliament Street, used by students and university people.I drank in there a few times some character about the place and all kinds of odd things hanging from the ceiling. It is in contrast that across the road within spitting distance was the riots of Liverpool 8.

    The Naval Ode

Their grave is but the cruel sea,
No flowers be at their head,
A rusting bulk their resting place,...
    Afast on the ocean bed.
    They shall not grow old,
As we that are left grow old,
    Age shall not weary them,
    Nor the years condemn,
At the going down of the sun,
    And in the morning,
    We will remember them.
    Lest We Forget.
