D Class frigates
See in various newspapers and TV that there are significant problems with the six D class RN frigates and that the problem has been known is 2009.
One ship on its maiden voyage across the Atlantic suffered a total power outage rendering the ship useless for a period of time. Other ships in the class have suffered the same problem.
The solution is to commence a refit program in 2019 upgrading the ships gennies.
As the first was delivered in 2009 and the last in 2015 and the problem was known in 2009, why wasn't production delayed until a solution was found and the fix implemented, rather than let all six sail with defective equipment?

Probably because those Owls, Cuckoos, and Shitehawks, would not listen to the MOD and release the money. JS
