We have just had a case here in Oz where a seniot RN officer has been given a 12 month sentence and drummed out of the Navy. He had an affair of sorts with a female on board ship. He claims she was willing, she said only half the time! Men and women in close contact such as a war ship or sub will always lead to problems I fear. If you can't stand the heat get out of the lkitchen.
There is always the `Honey Trap`, a female person on a ship or sub, if she does not like a certain seafarer can also entrap him and then complain. The man is sacked , she is happy she has got rid.
oil and water do not mix.

We will never know the full story, but it is hard to imagine someone who is described as "Feisty" committing suicide because she was called "Sweetheart" the two just don't go together. She has also probably ruined her superior officer's advancement and he no doubt has been sent on an "Awareness Course" whatever that is.
People who commit suicide are basically selfish and do not take into account the grief they cause to their own family and others closely associated with them. I speak from personal experience, so I hope I will not be accused of going off course again.
Since the Royal Navy started on the nuclear submarine programme, how many former crew have died as a result of getting cancer from possible radiation leaks? and will it be better or worse for Female crew? I read somewhere that a substantial number of men have been affected, and subsequently died .I read also, that the Russian Navy had similarproblems, but have heard nothing about our American allies.
