Re: Help re Romanby
Hi Graham
Well i am surprised at what the CR2 has ON IT, not much at all, this is very strange to say the least!
As you may have seen in the eg: i posted the CR2 should have his Ships listed, whereby you could then find where they went etc.
That is so disappointing!!
If i were you i would possibly now contact the National Archives with the info you have and ask where the rest of the Card is ?? Now i am saying this on presumption that he did serve on other Ships ??
As there is only the one ship shown on the Cards!??
Something not quite Kosher here i feel Graham! At times of course there are errors made and there were Ommissions made, as in those Years and before all was Hand entered, so Human error cam into it.
So sorry you did not get more!
There is still the possibility that he has a CR10 or CRS10 and that should also hold all the Sea Service Records!
So for now take the plunge and see what happens!
Cheers
Added
I note that the CR2 states the Join date is 16-10-1936 The the CR1 shows two date stamps 19-12-1936 and 21-12-1936 this indicates that he Joined on the First date shown above, then looks like actually sailed and then finishe on that Ship in Swansea or North Shields ?? Then from there ?? Mystery.

Re: Help re Romanby
Here are Links that possibly would have his CRS10 Cards Graham.
Its a long road to try and get all you ned and also a cost i know, but that the price of searching for old Records f Relatives.
Cheers
I think the first Link would possibly be the best bet , if nothing comes from that then the last resort is Link number two.
