Elders & Fyffes Frank Wood Oddy
Hello, I'm trying to find out some information on my Great Grandfather, Frank Wood Oddy. He was from the Yorkshire and died about age 70 in 1950.
He was chief Engineer for Elders & Fyffes probably in the 1920's/30's, maybe earlier. He built a replica of one of the banana boats that was displayed in the window of their offices in Trafalgar Square.
This is about as much information as I can gleen from my father, Paul Butters who is now 85. We would love to locate the boat. Or even just a photo!
Thank you for any help you can give me.
Juliet

Re: Elders & Fyffes Frank Wood Oddy
Hello! Thank you so much, yes that could possibly be him. When my father talks about him, it's always in a Yorkshire accent, so that's a good start!
How do I go about getting any other information?

Hi Juliet
As you say i could be him, i think you need to check and see if the actual date of Birth is correct, as the Initials do not match, and i dont want you to waste Money on the wrong Records.
Is there anyway that you can check that ??
This is the Link to the Seamans Pouch anyway in case !
Cheers
