Re: William Henry Neale Atkinson
Yes silly question - had spent all day following threads getting nowhere.
What I was thinking: Ages ago I researched their uniforms, hoping for answers, because pics of semaphore exercises at Crystal Palace we’re quite different. Thought there might be someone at BMN who could help on uniforms.
As for CR2! I followed your lead on FMP and to view his file, 1016935, I have to sign up - no problem, except that always fails. I'm savvy with internet sign ups, but they tell me to talk to my bank; or use another card etc, etc. Done all that. Never works. Reasons for stiff drinks!
I've also been stumped trying to use the National Archive, that's why having you and Marian onside has been so rewarding.............Kathie
PS I have a pic of him with fellow officers in Asia; I'm hoping someone might recognise a relative. Do I post it to you or another part of the site?
Re: William Henry Neale Atkinson
Hi Kathie
Just post Pic on this Thread , otherwise will cause confusion which we have enough of LOL
Cannot understand why the issues with the sites you mention ??
Why do you have to use Credit Card to sign up! ?? FMP should be free to sign up, and one nly pays for what you may use. Or if you want to sighn up with a Sub, then of course that different! I have found that as i dont use it as much nowdays as i used to, i now use the Single Payment option , at 1.50 GBP .
So try joining again and see!

Can anyone identify these men - maybe a distant relative? Attachment 35076 1940-1943 - William Atkinson, second from the right, probably with fellow crewmen and possibly from the Doryssa, or Dad's next ship (unknown).
