    Default Vindicatrix Bristol 1958

Hello, I am trying to find any fellow naval trainees and seamen that may have known my father. He joined Vindi Catrix around September 1958, I think. His name is Barrie Victor Cumbers. I think that he completed his training in Bristol and the first ship that he joined after his training was Port Alma.

Hello Lisa, wellcome to the site. We have lots of members who trained at Vindicatrix, sure you will hear from some of them shortly, many ex members of Vindicaric live abroad, and will see your post later. I was trained at gravesend sea school in 1958, but that is no help to yourself, regards kt

    Hello Lisa
Thanks for asking the Question, and as said i am sure thee may be some who woulde have been there with your Dad.

Dont know if you have any of his Seamans Service Docs, but in case not here is a Link that you can apply for his Seamans Pouch, which will have limited info on it.
To get a better knowledge like Ships etc, you would need his CRS10 which would also be held at Kew!
    Cheers

Full Service Record his CRS10 Link here, would be within this Series!

    Hi Lisa.
I was on the Vindi in 49 so to early. There is a Web site for the Vindi with many group pictures on it, you could try that.
