Re: Looking to find where a couple of ships were built
I think Matt is referring to Valdivia, a 70,000 ton bulk carrier built for Harrisons(Clyde) Ltd in 1981 in Nomura Shipyard in Japan. Her ON was 385175. I was Master on her from 21/11/84 to 19/5/85 She was a sistership to Voreda, built at the same time. These were both magnificent b ulkers and were meticulously maintained. One of my fellow Masters at that time was also called Matt Lindsay, and I wonder if there is any family connection?
