Peter Williams Hms Gothic
Hello everyone
My names Nicola. I’ve joined because it’s my fathers 80th birthday in December and would love to do something a bit different for him. I know it’s a long shot but if I could find anyone he was in the Navy with who could write him a letter / send a photo or anything to connect after all this time I think it would be something really special for him.
My fathers name is Peter Vaughn Henry Williams and he was born 1st December 1938. He was an electrician on the Hms Gothic around the early to mid 60’s.
I’d love to hear off anyone who was with him and remembers him.
Nicola

Re: Peter Williams Hms Gothic
Would this be him looks like it! His Seamans Pouch would hold a Pic of when he first joined. and a wee bit more info, but need his CRS10 for more detailed info. Pouch is downloadable from Kew online for a fee but CRS10 IS ANOTHER STORY ??
Cheers

Hello Nicola
As old Seaman we hardly ever forget our Service Registration numbers so I am sure he will know it! You can apply for his Seamans Pouch Online as stated it is fully Downloadable from the National Archives
Click on the Link first then go to Request a Copy and just follow the Prompts from there
R726957 WILLIAMS P V H 01/12/1938 CARDIFF | The National Archives
When yo get to this page Enter his Discharge Number his DOB and Place of Birth also enter the Reference Number quoted just above the Box and any other info that you may have Ships name and date he was on I think just put 1960's THEN ADD TO Basket once you are satisfied all info has been given
Good Luck
If you need any other help on how to go about it please just ask.

Thankyou that’s lovely. Can I ask what the pouch is please and is there any way of getting his number without asking him directly?
