Alison, the name alone may not find the best results, can you furnish any other details.
Date of Birth / Death. Place of Birth / Death and anything else that may assist us.

The obvious place to find his ticket number would be in his discharge book. If you don’t have a book then the next best thing is the books number. If you don’t have this then the name of the ships he was on, if don’t have that then his NHI insurance number. And all the pertaining questions in the previous post. Cheers JWS.

There are three possibilities here a PA ,WA, GA Grout listed at the National Archives.
As said we need more info as to where and when Born!
