Just north of the Kyle of loch Alshe is the torpedo ranges that the RN used to use in the late 70s and early 80"s. Spent a bit of time up there. The railway used to stop at the Kyle and is a beautiful part of the world. Don't think the train went any further. JWS

Thanks for that i was puzzled as i couldn't find the Port Napier in my book of ships lost in second world war, not realizing it was a RN ship, but it was with the RN section, the book has every RN ship from barges to aircraft carriers lost in the war.
