    Default M V Port Alfred - 1968

Hi - I am hoping that someone can help me trace my birth father. I was born in Wellington, New Zealand 1968. Amongst my mother's belongings a business card with the above name on it was found. Any assistance at all would be greatly appreciated.

Jo, whilst I admire your endeavours to trace your birth father, we have to be careful as he may not want to be found, either for personal or family reasons and I would caution our researchers to keep any information discovered restricted to private emails between themselves until it is established that the said gentleman would be pleased to be found. By the same token Jo it may be prudent to give us a little more information about yourself, your full name, your mother's name in 1968, what you do and anything else you feel may be relevant to assist, have you changed address since 1968, we don't know how old the gentleman is, if is still alive, so anything that will jog his memory if he still around and found will help you all

Port Alfred itself for those who don't know and if I am not getting mixed up with another port , is at the top of the Saguenay river which runs into the St. Lawrence river. We used to take Bauxite there from Chageramus in Trinidad, and on another ship used to take Zinc Ignots out of. JWS

Just letting us know your mothers name especially her maiden name would go a long way to helping solve this. This way it would maybe have some familiarity with who ever and possible the aka name she might have been going under at the time. Do hope that this helps.
That's the way the mop flops.

My thanks to Brian for this site.
