Thought that all knew that! If you did not I apologise!

You can see that I have done that (Edited) here as well just to show you what I mean, just click on the Little Blue Icon! Cheers
PS I normally only Edit posts that have the quote reply and are a bit long! The shorter ones I just leave as is!
If this Editing Quote replies is in some way causing any Members any grief, please do let me know and I will not Edit the Quoted posts any longer! I was just trying as said to save space for Brian! Cheers

I didn't know that Doc, I am sure that I have seen quotes which quoted the whole post which I thought was wasteful. I always edit any quotes that I make to the relevant part of the post as I have done here. When did things change.?

Re: Travel times: London to Amsterdam

Re: Travel times: London to Amsterdam
Vernon whilst not wishing to contradict you was it said on here just recently that space was not a problem, maybe by yourself.I think it was todo with the compilation of Tony Wildings (RIP) post's on his adventures in Cebu.

Re: To clear up the moderation issue
Talking of saving space what is this all about on the jokes thread.Print a line then a 6inch space sometimes even a foot space.Imagine if Ken Dodd had a 10 second pause in between lines he already keeps the audience till after midnight if he did that you would never get home.Quite honestly I log on to a joke and as soon as I see the big spaces I dont bother reading it.
Regards.

Please excuse my ignorance but how do you edit a quote and what is the blue dot.

Re: To clear up the moderation issue
Not wishing to jump on the band wagon.
The only editing of posts that I do is some spelling mistakes.
I also do the same within the Gallery.

Re: To clear up the moderation issue
Not going down that path again are we, surely if people make spelling mistakes it is because they do, and that should be the end of it. Editing offensive posts is understandable, but spelling mistakes, give us a break

Re: reply to previous posts
Aha, I see the question of spelling mistakes has come alive.
Like Tony has said, he will only correct them when they do not make sense, that is what I also do.
We have to remember that we are getting on in years and a slipped finger(no rude comments) happens now and again.
even I have gone back and corrected my own posts.
The other thing is , when the general public are searching on line and come across a post of ours, we like to have it looking as professional as possible.
