Lewisham Street rings a bell, I drive past there whenever I'm on the way to my boat at Half Moon Bay Marina. I left the Port Auckland about February 1961, after coasting to Antwerp, Dunkirk, Bremen, etc.
Left the sea then, and got married May 1961. Now boating is confined to a nice old 32-foot launch in the Hauraki Gulf. Just returned from a 15-day cruise on the Pacific Pearl, a 62,000-ton P&O liner. Not quite the same as the Port Auckland, but pretty good all the same!:)
