    Default Refugee Boat Italy

Regardless what many may think of illegal immigrants. Sadly a lot have drowned off the Italian coast.

Dozens killed as boat carrying refugees sinks off Italy At least 62 people, including 12 children, died after a boat carrying more than 100 people crashes in stormy weather off the Italian coast. The shipwreck on Sunday took place near Steccato di Cutro, a seaside resort on the coast of Calabria in Italy.

The death toll is now expected to rise to over 100 people. So sad, the sea makes no difference be you seafarer or some one trying to improve their lives.
Since 2014 almost 26,000 people have lost their lives or gone missing in the Mediterranean.

We are lucky here in Oz as we have managed to stop the human smugglers with strong border security.
And there i n lies the problem, border security.
As long as there is no such then this kind of tragedy will continue to happen.

No doubt many countries around the Med do not want such refugees but do little to stop them, then if they manage to make it ashore they are then moved on by the authorities.

Apart from this one how many have been lost in other seas such as the channel and maybe the authorities do not know.
Boats lost at night with no survivors?
This trade wil continue as long as there are those who wish for a better life but have no other way of acieving it.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

Life is too short to blend in.

As said no matter who or from where , these People that are given passage on these really shonky Boats that have to Sail through Natures Seas at times that can get really Angry as we all know! And the prices that are paid to the Organisers is Criminal, there is no thought of safety at all, the possible loss of lives is no concern to these Scum.

It is so sad that this has to happen, but in most cases i guess to take the chance rather than to stay in the Country of wherever, must show just how bad things must be !
