People here (in the USA) have complained about shooting the first balloon down over water, now these last two were shot down over land and haven't been recovered yet, and again people are complaining. It would be the same in any two-party system of government. The in-party are clowns, the out-party would have done so much better if they were the in-party. Conservative or Labor, Democrat or Republican, that's the way the cookie crumbles. And hindsight is always 20-20.

Same here Rod, the last Govt is now asking the new Govt why they are not doing such and such, when they had ten years to do it. Sort of thing we used to debate on No five hatch.

Latest bit from one reporter regarding Biden, 'He is causing too much damage by continuing to supply arms to Ukraine, this will start WW3'

    One comment only.

But as to leaders, many have been good for maybe one or if lucky two things.
Des quotes Whitlam with Medicare and to that I agree.
Howard with his attempt to cut down on guns in society and introduction of GST.
    Hawke/Keating for bringing in Super.
Abbot for stopping the boats and brining in Border Control.
Turnbull for being an idiot and that from me a strong Liberal voter.

Harold Wilson in his early days, but not for his statement after devaluing the pound, 'The pound in your pocket is still a pound'

Thatcher for allowing tenants to buy their council owned house at a large discount on market value.
There have no doubt been many more, and will be again.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

Well, my choice would be Boris. In times of great turmoil, he added a bit of humour to our lives. I mean, what other PM could bring a smile to our faces?
If I could vote for him, I would, because I can see nobody any good in any political position at the moment. It's like the devil and the deep blue sea.

Clemment Attlee started the NHS, Harold Willson told the Americans to F--OFF when they asked the UK to join the war in Vietnam.
These are two of the greatest things the Labour party have ever done.

The NHS was conceived by a joint committee of Conservative/Liberal members and was set to to introduced in 1938, but with the rumblings of war it was put on hold so that military spending could be increased, Atlee and Bevan took the laurels but it was never their idea
