No I think they should be dumped in the Indian Ocean . No need to land anywhere . JS

No government should have the right to give out charity with money that is not even theirs to give. Charity is given by people who feel sorry personally for others . I give money annually to charitys I support those that are beneficial to the right people and not government sponsored . I do not need a government to make that decision for me. I believe there should be laws to the effect that it has to be a national decision to give money to foreign countries. The same should apply to any war before some idiot politician with a brain the size of a peanut takes that action on his own responsibility. However I do have my doubts it will ever happen. The western politicians are quite happy to let people squabble about left and right and have no idea what they are talking about , it keeps the spotlight off them , and the smoke caused by the fire is enough to conceal the method in their madness. And yes I do agree with properly run unions , but not to the detriment of a country , I have had my share of arguments with the cloth cap brigade as it once was , and apparently still has a few old time members still . JS
How many times have I heard , I want my rights ! I don’t know what they are , but I want them ? , have had to then sit down and explain what those rights are and what his union agreed for him, that should have been the Union Secretary’s job , so the fault was his in the first instance. Today they are more slick and approachable but in a lot of cases have missed the boat as lost membership never to regain , Pity as I was quite happy with the results they obtained in Australia, but the usual fault too many cooks, or in this case unions all squabbling amongst themselves , a bit like on here. Well John the Argentine supposedly did that during the so called dirty war, loaded them up in a Hercules C130? flew out into the Atlantic opened the rear door and dumped them out
The workforce in the UK if they are being wronged by an employer what action should they take. Just live with it or seek employment elsewhere? Or if an employer is obviously in the wrong what should happen to that employer. Likewise if the work force are in breach of contract their union should sort it out or be fined for failure to do so and the employer should be compensated from union funds.
Before any industrial action is taken all grievances should be put in front of an independent tribunal.

A prime example is the recent behaviour of P&O ferries. They have admitted they broke the law, nothing was done even the Union was powerless. The government should have stepped in straight away and commandeered the UK P&O fleet and kept them operating as usual. Those ferries had to be kept running as a matter national interest and DP world could have done nothing but have a rethink.

    Louis,
Why do you think Putin wanted to stop the Comedian in the Ukraine, right at the start he called him a fascist, notice no one has mention the Azov brigade led by one of the top fascists in the Ukraine ,since they were defeated in Mariupol.

Our Woolworths opened one of those self pay servers twelve months ago, they still have a woman in there to help people with the system, and it is slower than the other counters.

#85 There are also those women who have 2 or 3 kids by different fathers purely to establish a future lifestyle comparable to their needs , even in the upper echelons of society , you wont find it admitted to in forthcoming biographies , but to my always doubting mind, may prove correct in a few years time, when the custody problems may prove a burden round the neck of the British Nation. Love being a purely splendid thing may also prove to be untrue. A standing Wotcha thing has no conscience to some pinheads. As you sow so shall you reap. JS

One of the most stupid things I think they do today is paying for childcare, when we had our two, my wife had to work, so paid a woman to look after the kids, the woman got more of my wife's wages than she did. Why on earth should the taxpayer pay to look after all these kids, if someone wants a family, they should make sure they can pay for them, we are not living in a socialist Country. LoL

Free child care for the masses is the call from our feral gov.
But why should the majority pay for the up keep of kids of the minority.
Nothing wrong with having kids, but they should be your responsibility, not that of the community.

The younger generation now have no morals when it comes to the upkeep of democracy.
We want it and we want it now.
Gone the days when you lived your life style according to your earnings.
Any one can afford a house if they go about it the right way, start small and work your way up.
Socialism is certainly on the way up and if allowed will do untold damage to democracy as we know it.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

90, from what I have read, most of them have no papers, so they cannot be returned to their original country.
Rwanda is not a problem, Australia deport there illegals to an off shore island, what's the difference?

Vic, what Australia does with illegal immigrants is their business. They are really only following on with a trend learn't from the motherland when it was a penal colony.(tongue in cheek)
As you say most of them have no papers so what gives the UK the right to stick them on a plane and dump them in Rwanda? As it is more than likely they came from France they should be returned to France. Are the government still paying millions to the French to stop them crossing over the channel?

I became interested in politics and world events from my first trip to sea. It is a lifelong interest.
Recent world events have brought into focus the scale of hypocrisy which exists in governments and world leaders.
Russian occupation of large parts of Ukraine has brought outrage and condemnation, even the threat of nuclear war.
Compare this to the occupation of Palestine by Israel which is ongoing from 1967. The occupation and building of settlements on occupied Palestinian land is illegal under international law. Where is the outrage and condemnation?
