As i have said many times, i am a floating voter, i vote for who i think will do best, thats why i could not even consider Corbyn last time round, but i must say these two are testing my credibility button. As things stand, unless a miracle occurs, i know where i shall be voting next time , thats if i am still not laughing at you all wearing my wings up there by then, lol.

There are some of you who think the UK has a perfect ownership of financial problems, you are so wrong.
The problems UK faces are no different to those of many other nations since the Pandemic.

Here in Oz we have a $1 trillion debt care of the pandemic.
We have a severe shortage of medical staff at all levels.
Here in Victoria our wonderful dictator stopped all elective surgery for over two years, the back log is now about four years long.
We have a state erection in November, to make sure he keeps his benefits he is promisisng all manner of new hospitals etc, been in office 8 years and done nothing about them.

Buying our 4th house back in the 90's we had interest rates at 18.5% so stop your whinging
We have been told house prices will fall by 10%, don't believe it, prices are as good as ever, why, because as soon as the price drops there is a rush for the cheaper property, so sold to the highest bidder.

Like Cappy I have had my own business, you roll with the punches and any one who thinks it is easy, think again.
Those at the top may get a big tax cut, but maybe if you were to do some of the hours business people do you may understand.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

Life is too short to blend in.

Just keep this cool calm and collected Lads! No Bitching allowed! Your Nails are too long! LOL

But to keep in touch (if thats the word here) i read now that to try and help our Economy here they are now allowing all older Aussies to Work, a certain number of Hours and get paid without loosing their Pensions! Now that i think is a step in the right direction, as there are so many older Aussies that have Experience in all fields , and many can outdo some of the Young Uns too!
I am amazed at the Figures out of late on just how many are taking up the challenge, and doing a bleedin fine job too!
Age is but a Number as i always have said, and if you can then why not! Should have opened the Doors a long time back!
    Cheers

#61 If those wings are red Keith then your upside down they should be on your feet. Party politics is as it s name implies similar to a game of “ I spy with my little eye” , a game families used to play before tv arrived on the scene. Every party gets it wrong at times as are only human we hope, but to add more to the worry today we hope like so many others they are not working under stolen identity’s and making matters worse. There are now millions on the airwaves due to lack of rationale by governments to prevent. And should be a crime with much bigger penalties . Maybe even your PM could be Boris with a face mask on. #63. As I know who you are Cappy not like others working behind a mask. And you having the same name as myself , do you consider yourself a Jack or a John , I’m getting fed up being a toilet so considering the two legal options ,Jack or Bill. Then I can legally say I’m all right Jack, or could on occassion say I’m Bill and only here for the swill.. Could be a change of lifestyle . Off within the next 10 minutes to the happy hour used to be 1 hour but have had it extended to 1.5. Hours by popular demand.weather starting to warm up here so must be cooling down at your end. I”ll have a pint on you shortly and that’s the Gods honest truth , I’ll take it off the sum you think I owe you . Cheers love to Pat . JS

Just in case you are confused about the topic under discussion it is Tories wrecking the economy and the fallout it has caused to millions of people with mortgages and pensions. Changing the subject does not alter facts.

As you constantly bring up the subject of unions in every reply to posts you make site members should be aware you were a card carrying union member when it suited you to be so. The word hypocrite comes to mind.

the only time i ever had to have a union card was to work in the merchant navy .....they were as much help as a one legged man in an ass kicking contest ....but of course in the endeavour to curry favour with folk it is interesting to see steer calmer has just agreed that the government should agree a price of 60000 poundsto make one ...yes one home draught free how many homes will be included .....again we ask and who will pay the bill....lol any way enough of this politicking i will leave the future debate on politics and finance in your capable hands....cappy r 683532

#64 Vernon a lot of pensioners have found employment again here in the UK a lot because of a labour shortage after the exidous due to Brexit.
I am now on my second job doing a 12 hour week. I am a drug runner, delivering drugs all quite legal and above board. I deliver prescriptions .
I got sacked from the first job after a week. I was a meeter and greeter at a large ASDA super market. The store manager had a complaint that I told a particularly obnoxious couple to go forth and mulitply ah!!! well maybe customer relations was never for me anyway.
I enjoy being involved in drug running and the van I use is fun to drive. Being a white van man though does not make one immune from prosecution for doing 36mph in a 30mph zone. Seeing as I did a speed awareness test a week ago looks as if I will be £60 & 3 points worse off in a week or so. The police officer had no sense of humour either. He asked me what I was delivering and why the hurry, drugs I said. His face was a picture.

A lot of pensioners have started to do the odd jobs no one wants. A lot I know say it is just to get them out off the house and one guy since he lost his wife to covid last year says it is for a bit of company as well. So win win all round for those that want it.
The girl in the local library asked me last week if I fancied filling a part time vacancy coming up in the new year may well give that a go.
