If only it were that simple !
The Electorate did not elect Boris.
His Constituency party voted for him as their MP.
When he was elected to Parliament he was elected Leader of the Conservative Party.
This is NOT a Presidential Election - let's be so thankful for that !
At the last election, the Voters saw Boris as the Leader of the Conservative Party and were happy to see him as Prime Minister; leading the Country. Hence the '
'Boris Bounce' and the large Conservative majority.
The Media AKA BBC were thoroughly dismayed.
At least this time, Laura Kuenssburg is not firing from the hip !

One of the first things a politician must learn is never to fight a duel with pistols at 20 paces with any dishonourable member , if he does he will have to out think his adversary and turn and fire at 3 paces , hoping he or her doesn’t turn and fire at 2 , There is no honour among thieves and politicians. Only excuses . JS.

Talking Re: The Bid for Leadership Race....

So down to EIGHT contenders for the Party Leadership-yes,folks we're on track for the whittling down to TWO next week, that is of course, the two main contenders Savage Damage and Dishy Soon Tax,after one by one the other 'no hope' contenders,'conveniently ' drop out. At the last minute,Savage will drop out, leaving Dishy Soon Tax in charge.

Just like the 'coup' to oust Boris,it is all pre-ordained,planned.discussed,finalised,a fait accompli (they just have to go through the motions)-in- true British parliamentary democratic style !

If I am wrong then I will eat my hat-no,er,my ham sandwich !

No,JS,no mustard/moutarde for me- note ,I am so bilingual--- anyway, mustard? --me Tarzan, not Jane --always bareback wi'me 'am 'sarnies-no appetiser required . Washed down with a cold bottle of Stella Artois-I once visited that well-known drag venue in Blackpool-'Funny Girls' where one of the acts called her/himself Stella Artois.Another one used to dress up in trolley-dolly uniform and called herself Pam Ann......there are others, but not now.

#8 Louis your mention of the starboard wing brought back memories of my one claim to fame of my pretend passenger vessel with 12 passengers. It was an often asked question by some old dear , how do you remember port from starboard and my reply for starboard was ... always think of creme de menthe for starboard both are green .JS

    HI Graham
Maybe you will have to be bilingual going by the names of your politicians, I thought that we would have been ahead of you with the W names but it looks like you have beaten us hands down. I did hear a rumour that they have thought of changing the name England to little India.
