#11 well you know there used to be 3 farmers one for every watch, when there were 3 in watches in the old days Vernon. That’s correct about the Curry and Rice though think the two of them went with Blue Funnel. Also knew 2 others in 1957 called Cock and Balls they also sailed together , may have been painful if they didn’t. ? Must have been many Bills and Bens on same ships . Knew an ex RN bloke nicknamed Cabbage but can’t remember his surname anyone know ? as apparently was a common title in RN. Cheers JS.
PS was talking to an ex RAN 93 year old who was an ex Admirals steward and he had never heard of the Liverpool man , so even at 93 one can still learn. JS

So first I would without appearing offensive ask you if your correct surname is Curry. ? The shipmate was called James McNeill. As I would imagine all the UK people may have known each other , did you come across such , a very long shot but worth asking .Cheers JS

PS The sea school I went to in 1952 there was someone called Curry, and true to tradition there was also someone called Rice. You have probably come across this situation more than once if have moved around in shipping. Cheers JS
...and his Dad if I remember was called Dominic-so in effect he was actually a Poppa Dom....There's more! His uncle was called Pat,but was better known by his nickname Chip. Yes,he was a Chipatti............. er ... "Cheque, please!"

#15 Good question but knowing nothing about present day politicians in UK would know nothing about her. Whenever pollies appear on telly and if the wife doesn’t have the buttons , I change stations .Cheers JS.

The whole concept of sending some to Rwanda is not as simple as it sounds.

Here in Oz we have kept a family of four in detention for over four years.
The parents came as illegals but got temporary protection visas and were allowed into the community.
They married and had two girls.
But under current Oz law they do not automatically become Australian citizens as the parents were here as illegals.
They have now been released back into the community pending a high court decision on their future.

But why were they locked up for four years you may well ask.

AS an example of what will happen if you attempt to enter the country illegally.

The Rwanda exercise is in my opinion a similar ploy.
Deport some in the hope it will deter others from attempting to enter the country.

It may well work once they can get a few airborne, but with that Geoffery guy working Human rights it may take a while.

Thought Cherry as a human rights lawyer may have got into this one.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

Life is too short to blend in.

Ref 8, i find it strange that you should mention my name Mr Curry, i see you have only been a member here since this year,so unless my memory is fading faster than i thought, perhaps you would like to point out the post where i have engaged on your post POLITICALLY, i do not recall replying to any of your comments. If i have i would love to see what it is you are referring to , as to not agreeing with your political views, that is also my right to do so, that as you point out is democracy, so please let us have some transparency here.
