Welcome home Terry. I don't think any Prime Minister on earth could have dealt with the pandemic, especially coming so soon after taking office, in a manner that would satisfy everyone; no matter what decision/direction he took he would be damned by those who had opposing views.

Now of course everyone but everyone is a hind sight expert, especially the opposition benches, who can spout as much drivel as they want, because they never have to take a decision. The only reason they backed the PM on this occasion was to curry favour with their prospective (illusional) voters. As for champagne socialists wasn't your favourite politician, one Jeremy Corbyn born with two silver spoons in his mouth, University paid by the taxpayer, his entire working life (or lack of it) paid for by the tax payer and never having to take a meaningful decision; shades of Mr Benn and a couple of others, again a tax payer funded career.

As for the Russians entering Ukraine, both Jeremy and his idiotic brother will be encouraging them to proceed westwards as they are just waiting to unfurl their red flags, better stock up on your Russian phrase books.

Anyway have a Happy Christmas and I hope the only red you see is Santa's suit

Afraid your wrong Ivan, I could dig out the post that informed everyone i could never vote Tory or for Corbyn, I may well be seen as handing my vote to B,J, Because i only vote for the green party these' days. As for those on the take so to speak Owen Paterson who the Tories only wanted suspended for 30 days not his resignation is the prime candidate spending more time away rom his constituency than amongst it. Mr Paterson had a hefty majority of 22,949 in Shropshire North at the last general election, with Labour second and the Liberal Democrats in third place. Previously known as Oswestry, it has been Tory since 1906. So what made the Constituency vote for change i am afraid Tory sleaze has to be the answer and a lot of Tory M.P.s who have borrowed there seat from Northern voters know there fate as a result. p.s, The only red flag i owe allegiance to is the Red Duster. As for catching up on my Russian phrases, I will be in the queue right behind you and cappy, Both have a loverly xmas. приветствия

Your problems in UK with gov is n o different to ours here in Oz.
Gov doing the best it can under some trying circumstances and at a time when all should work together to beat this we have the Labor states and feral opposition going their own way.

National cabinet of all state leaders agree at meetings on what to do, the do their own thing instead.
We were a tad slow with role out of vaccine as the original order was stopped by EU who said their need was greater than ours.

But whilst most EU countries are only around the 65% to 70% vaccinated here in Oz we are close to 95%.
Booster program going ahead now and all from 5 years from next month.

But as a number of clinical experts have stated here in Oz, if it had been left to the medical profession to deal with this and the polis had stayed out we would be much further ahead.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

Life is too short to blend in.

My sentiments as well John, but i am sure i read a few weeks ago, we already have troops there, as part of our NATO commitment, and i am also sure there only three countries that pay into NATO at the correct percentage, and they are the Eastern countries that border Russia. The last i read was that Germany , France, etc were not paying the correct amount. You may recall Trump was annoyed about that fact, kt
