    Default Germany calling

Saw a bit on the news yesterday about the French revolution due next year.
The female candidate appears to be doing well and could well unseat Macaroon.

But she went on further to say that she would not endorse the concept being put forward by Germany.

The new gov there want to see all EU countries as just one, that is the simplest way of describing what they want.

Germany may well have lost WW2, but they still have ambitions to take over Europe it would appear.

    John.
It will only take a little shove for Macron to bring out the white flag, as he has hopes of being the next Fuhrer.

Some people don't understand our dislike of the French in general, but a lot of us older generation parents served in the second world war, and can remember when the French betrayed us and operated with the Germans. My own father was wounded badly in the war, and had no time for them, but of course in history, we have always had to give them a hammering from time to time. If that statement does not bring forth response from certain members, ill eat my hat as the saying goes, lol

Vanuatu has just voted to stay with France by 90%, whoops he do, what they didn't say was that the 90% were the French people, the majority the native people boycotted the voting, I think they were silly but that's the way the cookie crumbles if you don't participate.

Have been there a couple of times, not the friendliest of people and not keen on visitors.
But of course they continue to get money from France so why leave?

There is a very large bottle shop in the main town.
Most of the passengers rush there to but duty free to take home, cheaper than on the ship.
They have to put it in bond until back home.

But one guy who had been there before gave me a warning, do not buy there.

Yes, they have all the well known brands and some of the hard to find ones.
But the ones who run the shop know who the visitors are.

Beautiful looking bottles of cold coffee, cold tea and a few other wonderful ingredients said one bottle he bought was actually Metho.

But then again it is a French colony.

Des, are you sure it was Vanuatu? My guess is that the vote was held in New Caledonia.
