Re: ref to shields pool
I can just see him, Capp[y at the South Shields pool, trying to do the breast stroke.
Told the authorities it would come in handy down under with all those lovely Oz.

Happy daze John in Oz.

Re: ref to shields pool
Hi John.
My mate for five years Joe Driscoll jumped the Baron Kilmarnock in Newcastle in 54, we were running petroleum from Freemantle around the coast, a trip later back in Newcastle and Joe came aboard and wanted us to stow him away, just as the skipper came up the gangplank, he said, "Driscoll you have five minutes to leave before I call the police." I never saw him again. I later found out that he had married and lived in Melbourne, but tragically her had fallen asleep with a cigy in his mouth and burned to death.
