John, you are correct. The Maynards Toffee factory was in that area and although closed down as a sweet factory in the possibly the fifties, the building is still there and is still in use but not for sweet making, the area is being gradually redeveloped and there are now trendy restaurants and hotels along with a few good real ale pubs.Quote:
