Yet again it is not all about England is it, Scotland voted remain as did N Ireland vote remain, the economic powerhouse that is London voted remain.

Good on Ye Cappy, good to see the old flag still flying in one corner of the old country. I have been an Aussie for over 60years so wont be able to join Dads army with you next time. You can take most of my posts with a touch of old salt.

#57. Des a query , when you came out here over 60 years ago was the Aborigine flag in existence ? My first trip to Australia was 70 years ago and I can’t remember seeing, in fact I can’t recall noticing it 30 plus years ago when emigrated. JS

Think it has been there for many years but kept at bay.
Only since Hawke was PM did it really come to life but remember they did not get the vote until early 1970's.

But now with all the perks they can get by just' ticking the box' it now flies from every flag pole there is.

No there was no aboriginal flag when I came here, I think it was Namigera or whatever that painters name was that it started i think, as John said probably during the Hawk era. I'm surprized the numerous letters mob hasn't incorporated it into the rainbow.
