Default The would be National Anthem of Australia

For those who don't know the words...of "Waltzing Matilda".
Once a jolly swagman camped by a billagong, under the shade of a Coolibah Tree,
and he sang as he watched, and waited till his billy boiled, who"ll come a Waltzing Matilda with me? Waltzing Matilda, Waltzing Matilda who"ll come a waltzing Matilda with me, and he sang as he watched and waited till his billy boiled, who"ll come a waltzing matilda with me.?

Down came a jumbuck to drink at that billabong; Up jumped the swagman and grabbed him with glee, and he sang as he shoved that jumbuck in his tucker bag, You"ll come a waltzing matilda with me. Waltzing matilda, waltzing matilda You"ll come a waltzing matilda with me. And he sang as he shoved that jumbuck in his tuckerbag. You"ll come a waltzing matilda with me.

Up rode the squatter, mounted on his thoroughbred, down came the troopers, one two three. Whose that jolly jumbuck you"ve got in your tuckerbag? You"ll come a waltzing matilda with me

Up jumped the swagman and sprang into the billabong, you"ll never catch me alive said he; And his ghost may be heard as you pass by that billabong. You"ll come a waltzing matilda with me, waltzing matilda, waltzing matilda, You"ll come a waltzing matilda with me! and his ghost may be heard as you pass by that billabong, You"ll come a waltzing matilda with me... Banjo Patterson 1864-1941.... JS

    A proper plonky..
Cut your name across me backbone,
Stretch me skin across a drum,
Iron me up on Pinchgut Island,
    From to-day till Kingdom come.

I will eat your Norfolk Dumpling,
    Like a juicy Spanish plum,
    Even dance the Newgate Hornpipe,
If ye"ll only give me rum. JS

It makes one wonder why England do not have
a National Anthem just like Scotland,Wales and Northern
Ireland. At most big event they play God Save The Queen
    which is the British Anthem.

#2.. Was it one of these Cappy.

My annals have it so, a thing my mother saw, nigh eighty years ago, with happiness and awe.

Along a level hill-a clearing in wild space,And nights last tardy chill, yet damp on mornings face.

Sight never to forget; solemn against the sky, in stately silhouette, Ten emus walking by.

One after one they went in line, and without haste; on their unknown intent, ten emus grandly paced.

She, used to hedged in fields, watched them go filing past, into the great bush wilds, silent and vast.

Sudden that hour she knew, that this far place was good, this mighty land and new. for souls hardihood.

For hearts that love the strange, that carry wonder; The bush, the hills, the range, and the dark flats under.

#4 As you know Australia already has its own Anthem, Australians let us all rejoice for we are young and free. The young part obviously refers to the country and not some of the inhabitants. JS

While there is no official national anthem of England, there are many songs which are considered to fill such a role. In most of the national sporting fixtures 'God Save the Queen', the British national anthem, is used.

God Save the Queen - the lyrics to all six verses of the British national anthem

The lyrics to 'God Save the Queen' as Her Majesty becomes Great Britain's longest-reigning monarch

    1. God save our gracious Queen
    Long live our noble Queen
    God save the Queen
    Send her victorious
    Happy and glorious
    Long to reign over us
    God save the Queen

    2. O Lord our God arise
    Scatter her enemies
    And make them fall
    Confound their politics
    Frustrate their knavish tricks
On Thee our hopes we fix
    God save us all

    3. Thy choicest gifts in store
On her be pleased to pour
    Long may she reign
    May she defend our laws
    And ever give us cause
To sing with heart and voice
    God save the Queen

    4. Not in this land alone
    But be God's mercies known
    From shore to shore
    Lord make the nations see
    That men should brothers be
    And form one family
    The wide world over

    5. From every latent foe,
    From the assassins blow,
    God save the Queen!
    O'er her thine arm extend,
    For Britain's sake defend,
    Our mother, prince, and friend,
    God save the Queen!

    6. Lord grant that Marshal Wade
    May by thy mighty aid
    Victory bring.
    May he sedition hush,
    And like a torrent rush,
    Rebellious Scots to crush.
    God save the Queen!
