A lot of humans are doing that now, Having children later and later, think their logic is so they have someone to look after them in their old age.
Good luck with that plan. Now to be fair a lot of elderly partents do have children to look after them.

One that springs to mind is the daughter of Captain Tom Moore For those down under , she is accused of making a few quid from Sir Tom's Charity .

Not only missing birds but this summer there have been no flies. Usually the bush flies are a pest as we have a hole in our kitchen fly screen and they always find it, so far this summer only killed two flies. Still not many birds, by this time there would be flocks of white cocky;s flying up and down the road, and big flocks of Kurawongs attacking my apples.
The news from America is not good, now the bird flue has been passed on to humans, and cattle herds, hence into milk, looks like some mad scientist has been let loose.

I bought a roll of sticky net to cover it recommended, but they forgot to tell the Sun, it dries it out in about a week, but as long as the flies stay away it'll be good.
