    That is nothing.
Our PM asked for upgrades from QUANTAS and he already gets first class when flying.
So what extras can he get??

Australia has been good to a lot of us John and I have no regrets it was at one time known as the country which gave a fair go. This can be taken by some as untrue depending which way one wants to look at it. My first time in Australia was in October 1953 and at that time no female was allowed in a public bar apart from the barmaid if they had one. They had a family room and no unattached man was allowed to enter and drink there. Sunday was a no drinking day the same as Scotland unless you were a traveller and staying at a hotel. Aborigines were not allowed into bars either. There were all sorts of different laws to get used to.But most accepted as necessary. You saw no crime like you do today, so obviously someone has let the side down .,The same applies to other parts of the world. Every one wants democracy and freedom , but most should learn that good laws are necessary first last and foremost before one can achieve that. JS

    Hi John
The inquest over the Bondi shopping stabbing has begun. There is only one person to blame, the young bloke who refused to take his medication, why? Because he was on the streets and not supervised. I blame, and always will all these killings including the loony who stabbed to death that young Paramedic, on a Professor who told the Goverment years ago to close all the mental institution;s and let the nutters find their way through life among the population, I think his name was Roberts. My daughter was working in the biggest one in Sydney when she lost her job.

John when we came here in 1980 it was similar in Victoria. I remember what it was like in 1964 when we docked here in Melbourne.
We were given a good go, an even chance.
But now things have changed and not all for the good, politicians have forgotten they are there to serve the public not themselves.
They have lost sight of giving a good example to the electorate.

Des, the state govs, certainly here in Victoria, have lost sight of what matters most.
Crims of all manner and that includes those with mental issues, and according to most lawyers half the population suffer from mental issues, and the bloody courts agree giving some of the worst bail!!!!!!!
    Happy daze John in Oz.
