John there 67 million living in the UK, 27 million living in Australia.

Land mass of the UK 245.5 thousand Km2, Australia 7.69 million Km2

Yes a lot of Australia is desert so population in certain areas will be very low. The UK has a lot of moorlands and the Scottish Highlands are sparsely populated compared to other areas in the UK.

Agree with you John. Recently Two-Tier Kier trumpeted from the rooftops about "sending illegals" back. He'd sent 40 back on a flight to Vietnam - while we're getting at least 500 invaders a week sneaking in. Sorry I shouldn't call 'em that. He now calls them "irregular" migrants. I prefer the factual description of (mainly) young males of fighting age as 5th column invaders. I read yesterday that Russia has a warrant out for a UK reporter who they say faces 'up to 5 years for illegally entering their country'. I know, Russia doesn't have clean hands when it comes to illegal entry but I do like the fact illegals face 'up to 5 years' . As a little side note - went into town on a bus yesterday. Standing room only. I counted about 27 passengers. I was one of only 3 Europeans. Similar when sitting in my doctors surgery. Sometimes I'm the only Anglo-Saxon.

As usual James you continually post disinformation.
The Rochdale case was nothing to do with the Tories, it was under the local council which just happened to be run by the Labour Party.

Well said Vic - glad I'm not alone in spotting the obvious. I used to go on a site called 'Scallywag', who used to list all the deviants and pervs in the Labour party (and believe me there are LOTS of them). Many biased folks even forget about a well know former cross dressing PM getting fined in London for 'importuning men for sexual favours in a public toilet' His name conveniently getting changed in the records to Charles Lynton Blair.

Tell you what Vic & Gino you keep carping on about Labour. Show me any post were I have said Labour are squeaky clean?
Concerning Blair maybe he was a fan of that rock band AC/DC. Certainly not the first politician nor will he be the last I am sure.
It really sticks in your craw that there is a Labour government with a whopping 172 majority. Get used to it because they will likely be around for at least 10 years if not longer.
You mention the numbers of illegals crossing the channel in small boats up to August 2022, 25,043 made the crossing, 2023 the numbers were down only 21,000. Depends what source one used .
The first quarter of 2024, 5,435 people arrived by small boat, showing an increase of 43% on 2023.
We will see the Government say they are going to tackle the problem of the boats by going after the gangs, time will tell if they can start to bring the numbers down.
The Rwanda scheme cost an estimated £700 million well that was certainly a wise investment.
The leader of the SNP says Scotland needs more immigrants, well if I was the PM I would grant the request of the Scttish government. Ship them up there, certain would be better value than the Rwanda plan.

For someone who several months ago who had a moan about politics and decided he was taking a break from the site, here we are again.
Vic I know exactly what your game is ,not going to work.
You have a grand day now.

As usual James up goes the bullshit deflectors and the scattergun defensive retort.
James you are one that continually post on sided political posts.
As for the number of immigrants crossing the channel Labour have no deterrent in place at the moment. Then again they no plans in place on how to Govern except give into their Union Masters.
Please enlighten me on what my game is.
    Have a nice day.

Whit h out knowing that much about the illegal input into the UK, and as an outsider looking in, I didn't see the Govt of the last ten years do anything to stop them coming in, except for some hashed up plan to fly them to Rwanda and give them two thousand dollars. It's a bit like that here Labour being blamed for things that happened over the last ten years. Seems to be a trend when your friends own the Media.

When I arrived out here 33 years ago it was like a yoke being lifted from one’s neck. Suddenly the shoe was on the other foot . There was also a labour government in . Employment in the maritime world was more self governing through the unions and if you were not already a member and a citizen then you didn’t get employed in the industry. This may sound harsh to some but was legislation at the time . I had a helluva job getting into the Guild but once in I bought the reasons for it. Today’s things aren’t what they used to be , but there you go you can’t suit everyone all of the time. However I prefer the days of when I was working in the Guild than what I see now , all the cheap labour has done nothing to improve Australia. The shipping has gone back a century at least in conditions and what exists today is farcical as regards country of origin. The minority has got richer and the poor no better off than what they were , when unions lost what power they had. Some of the union power was not to my liking but certainly preferred it to what is there today which is nothing worth talking about. Every Country has the universal right to accept or deny entry to their country if they so desire , most of the reasons are the cheap labour it provides , but this is only going to be short term and then it’s the usual back to the drawing board of bad management and the quest for ever cheaper labour . WE arrived here in 1980 and Oz was still a bit of a back water, but it has improved greatly.
Much of that comes from genuine migrants who are willing to work and have to prove they can do it.
Most do very well and almost half the small businesses here in Melbourne are owned by migrants at one time.
They did not bring their culture with them, yes they practice their religion but do not attempt to impose it on others,

To get into Oz now you must be sponsored, either by a reli or a prospective employer.

We have a far greater border than anything like the English Channel, but we keep them out, we send them back if they do get close and we have the co-operation of Indonesia, our close neighbor who do not want people smugglers suing their country to do it.

Even in three years of going back we have seen enough changes to concerns of the 34% of population.
I do agree that living there the daily changes are small so not noticed at the time, but as E. Musk said the other week, 'There is the possibility of some form of civil war in the not too distant future'

The first rule of any gov is the protection of the nations borders.
It is on that concept that govs of any form first came into being.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

Life is too short to blend in.
