    Default Riots in the UK

Rioting over night here in several cities the UK. The rioters are protesting about migrants. Confused if they are protesting against migrants why do they need to attack shops and loot causing £millions in damges. What is also confusing is why do these well educated protesters (sic) break into a Library and set it on fire?
The Spellow Hub, why attack this building!!

Not rocket science to figure out who is adding fuel to the fire.

WRONG. The country has been going down the pan for the last 20 years. No political party has the balls or the will to halt the decline. With luck this will be a wake up call. The present government is out of its depth and has no clue on how to solve this problem .

#3 do not think they are out of its depth , more like they have not got enough police or resources to deal with the problem.
Why do they not use water cannon in England, add a dye to the water and them pick them off.
It was a former home secretary who later became PM banned the use of water cannon. Water cannon is used world wide why not here?

From afar, all I see is a newly elected Govt who have probably not taken over fully being accused of not doing enough to stop illegals from entering the UK, like Aus this Govt has inherited the problems created by a lack of spine by the previous Govt.

Yes Mo they were and a lot of them behaved no better than the thugs we see today.
Old saying the bigger they are the harder they fall. From what you see a lot of the police are well overweight, look at the USA they do not do skinny peelers

#5 Governments come and go. The people go on for as long as eternity for the human race exists . Go back to 1942 in a lot of our lifetimes when Japan bombed Pearl Harbour , it was considered a most cowardly thing anyone could imagine . Today the same act is not even considered as it was then , and the next big outbreak will commence without warning to give the aggressor the advantage of surprise. Morals today are extremely low whatever government is in power , it is hard to imagine them lower but they will still go down in my opinion. When you read in newspapers and hear on the news the trouble on the streets of The UK , there is indeed someone not doing their sums right , to me it all started with open borders as was discussed years ago on this site , and those in power at the time should hang their heads in shame. They did not deserve the high office that the people put them in. All the excuses in the world is not going to alter that fact. JS

    Good post JS.
"Open borders" should be taken as "open sores". It's the "open sores" that have got infected, simply because they were never treated. Some people seem to think the people are happy to see these riots, but they're not, they're just expected, and seen with irony.
It's the fact that some people know why the riots are occurring, and understand how they came about, and some don't, that causes any arguing about the subject.
It's not about being for, or against the rioting, because no normal people want to see it. It's just that we see some things going bad for years, and put them all together without the need for a pencil to work it all out.

#3. Colin remember Dame Irene Ward ? She stood no nonsense she even got me an apology from the minister of foreign affairs from a fracas I had with one of his clerks in the British Embassy in Trinidad in 1967. They dont make them like her anymore. Cheers JS
