Yesterday a idiot went on a stabbing attack in a big Bondai shopping center, in Sydney killing so far 5 people, he also stabbed a woman and her nine month old baby four times. One heroic bloke picked up a bollard and kept him on an escalator, don't know what he did after, but a woman police inspector who was outside the center went in and confronted him, when he didn't put down the knife she shot him dead,
About eight people still in hospital.
I am wondering here, but about fifteen years ago a Professor who conducted a review of nut case hospitals recommended to the Govt to close them all and let the patients out, which happened, my daughter who worked in one of the biggest lost her job, since then' lost count of the number that police have shot dead nut casses for wielding knives and trying and succeeding to kill people, only last year a nutcase stabbed an Ambo to death while he was writing up a report in his ambulance.

Further to that attack in Sydney, a few truths have come out. First the 40 year old man who carried out the attack had never been arrested, but was known to the police in Queensland, he had not been let out on bail in Sydney, he did however have a mental problem.
Sad news is that the woman who's nine month old baby was also stabbed several times has died of her injuries, but so far the baby is still in intensive care.

Mental illness can come in many forms, not always easy to detect.
This guy was known to the medicos in Brisbane but was allowed out as not so bad a case as to need be locked up.

Just before the stabbing he was seen in a take away buying food like any other person, nothing to show he was off his tree.

A psychotic episode has taken place and off he went on his killing spree.
Why, we will never know.

But the police inspector did the right thing, took the USA approach to the situation.
Shot him dead then taken to the morgue for interrogation.

Recall that report, judging by the fallout from that report he probably should have been in one himself.

Turns out he approached a brothel in Sydney for work, said he would look after the women who came, but also the men if they so wished.

Then a second in a Greek or Russian orthodox church where the priest was stabbed.
Congregation so upset a riot followed.

Then here in Melbourne youth armed with machetes went on a rampage in a shopping center and three days later as second incident where a young girl was attacked outside Hungry Jacks at the same center.

Icing on the cake.
Five youths between 14 and 17 robbed a number of stores armed with large knives.
Down the freeway at about 180klm.
Police had to ram the car with one of the police cars to stop them.

But here I am, the sun is shining, bit cool at only 18 degrees and the birds are singing.

Meanwhile in the middle east all hell is breaking loose.
But off to the club for dinner tonight.

Apparently the boy who stabbed the preast had been radicalized, he was a M, the crowd who arrived and attacked the police and damaged 50 police cars were Ms down to assist him. I think it is time some of them where sent back to where the real fighting is going on to help the Bros, might calm them down some.

The video of that stabbing in church ahs been seen around the globe now.
but our PM has taken out a court order to stop E. Musk from putting it o his social media site.!!!
Why the fuss, it is already out there.
This looks more like a situation where the gov want to control all that goes on to social media.
Sounds lkie a threat to free speech to me.

Hi John.
Security forces here have arrested 5 or 6 young boys one only 14 with pictures of beheadings by Isis on his phone, they are not taking any chances, the Magistrate gave the young boy bail; but the security people over ruled him as the boy also had bomb making videos on his phone. About a year ago the most radical M in Aus was jailed for terrorist activity, he is out now and was also questioned, the threat around Sydney is high. My view send them back to where their families brought them from.

#9 The reason behind the beheadings Des, I was told years ago was that it was the ultimate sacrifice for the ultimate penalty of being refused entry into paradise and the 40+ virgins. The same should be enacted on the perpetrators of such a crime. JS.
