Law here in Victoria now bikes on road only, no riding on the side walk.
But where no bike lane they take their chances as far as many are concerned.\
Law says you must give them at least a one meter clearance,
Try doing that with a tram one side and no where to

Trouble with that here there are a shortage of sidewalks as well . So if all hands decided to use the roads there would be roller skaters , gophers, bikes , prams and the occasional dog walker on the roads. You could say with all honesty Everyman and his dog. The motorist could drive on the grass roadside or gravel or be cruel to animals and run over the dogs, and their masters take their chances . JS

This idea was put forward in the sixties across the Severn with locks for ships docking at Cardiff Newport Avonmouth and Sharpness the subject’s were hashed over for years and of course nothing became of the idea, Regarding bikes in Amsterdam I am sure the number is greatly depleted they are now all here in Spain you know where they are all from as the style in sturdy sit up and beg, tied to railings post even trees

The gov of NSW has put forward a concept where any bike rider particularly those with electric bikes must go for training on how to ride them
Why not, we had to learn how to ride a bike,
