Can't remember ever having a meal while in India.

I read a non fiction book years ago in my much earlier years about a persons biography and his travels in Afghanistan . In one of his chapters he described a murder trial in an Afghanistan court. The victim was I believe gay , but apart from that it was the normal court procedure , but the only difference to a western court was that the next of kin of the victim chose the way that the murderer was executed, and even perform those duties themselves if the Murderer was found guilty. A perfect retribution in my eyes. However some of the extremity’s that were observed like the stoning to death of unfaithful wives was too extreme for me. Maybe to knock the edges off that one men should have received the same penalty. These country’s the ladies are not born into a world of equality. Cheers JS.

I think stoning is still acceptable in some Eastern countries.
But in many females are there for one purpose, and they keep producing kids as well.

As to the Irish PM, I do believe he was out LBW.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

Life is too short to blend in.

I realise this is a Dutch problem but unfortunatly it may become a western problem . our present 1st.minister who has ravaged this once rich country is the leading contender
for Secretary General of NATO. If this happens then , as I said in a previous post , God help us all. He is not known here a teflon Mark for nothing as nothing sticks to him and suffers from
    CML - convenient memory loss.

Started a new post half an hour ago John but has disappeared into thin air . Today caught the tail end of the news about a burst of kind remarks to each other between Rudd the Dud as John in Oz calls him and Trump no doubt this is a developing story for the next few days.
If the original story decides to land , the story that is will have in duplicate . Also the headlines is some pervert has raided the hospital where Katherine was a patient looking for her medical report, very suspicious behaviour and suspect a member of the free press , he could have had my medical report if that’s what gets him off. I would put Naval Attaches together with retired politicians in the same category in Ambassadors Residences . Cheers JS

Re. # 13. I should have made it clear. I didn't go to India in the MN, however I went twice to India. to Delhi. The only nice thing about it was going to see the Taj Mahal, about an hours car ride from Delhi. My wife and I left Delhi early in the morning with a guide and driver. Twice we saw long packages wrapped in what looked like sheets. The second "package" got me curios, so I asked the guide what they were, he told me "Bodies," and they would be collected and taken to be burnt and the ashes scattered in the river Ganges. What I saw of India was more than I would have done around the docks, but I bet both views of the poverty and filth was equally rotten.

My second trip was again in Delhi. I was on a hiking holiday to the foothills of Mount K2. in Kashmir. I had to take connecting flights from Delhi to Kabul. with a stopover in Delhi Then it was a two hour, thrill a minute bus ride to the hiking starting point. It was fantastic, literally on top of the world. Though I had to stay a day in and out of Delhi, I didn't even bother to leave the hotel.

    Bloody dump.

    Cheers, Rodney
