It has also been reported that the tyers being so large put more emissions out than the average ICE vehicle.
The road side weight is for most about equal to some of the very large vehicles such as land Cruisers.

For the long term damage they do to the environment, electric cars will turn out to be a modern day version of the horseless carriage. Dead as a dodo. Only yesterday Asda declared they're closing many 'EV charging points'. i'LL STICK TO MY BELOVED, ULTRA RELIABLE PETROL CAR THAT COULD TAKE ME THE LENGTH AND BREADTH OF THE UK WITHOUT A PROBLEM.

Potholes caused by EV - plus the extra weight of big, brown envelopes in ministers and councillors back pockets. We all have hard fought for free speech - as long as it tallies with corrupt politicians versions of free speech.

Article on the net last week about the real cost of owning an EV compared with an ICE.

Cost of EV about $75,000 cost of similar size ICE vehicle about $45,000.

But over a five year period the overall cost of the EV which covered insurance, up to 4 times the cost of an ICE, electric cost, maintenance, yes there is quite a bit, tires
    and a few extras.
Over the 5 years the Ev was about 20% more expensive to run.

    Figures from USA motoring body.

Just read an article about the Hyundai i30.
Cost of replacing the battery comes in at about $60,000.
Time to go out and buy an ICE vehicle.
