If you had your name on the ships register and the owners werent available then you were it. That was the maritime law as I saw it at that era of time . As regards the drill ship laid up in Port Talbot what year are we talking about ? In 1966 I was 29 you by your CV are 12 years younger. So would have been 17. So assume we are now talking about the late 70s at the very least, probably much later ? Cheers JS
