#29 no mention today of water on lung John, only enlarged heart with advice to see a specialist which is miles away and have appointments if still around for January and February ,this is all apart from other specialists for the kidneys which aren’t too far away
The taxi fares put me off but if I dont appear for initial one is $100 forfeiture so hate to think of the final bill. JS.

Basically I was drowning. Long story short. They nearly killed me when they attached a drip of something or other. Nurse said this will take 3 or 4 hours to get into you. I woke up with a crash team around me. Who ever fitted the drip forgot to set the feed correctly. They never said why my blood pressure bombed. They had a chat with me as there was likely kidney damage done as I had no blood pressure for X minutes. I suppose I was close to ordering my first pint at Fiddlers Green.
So now on Furosemide 2 x 60mg a day also a 50mg dose of Spirolactone just to make sure they control my fluid build up. I also have to have bloods taken every 6 months to check kidney function.
I recently changed my GP and I got a copy of my medical history.
I was never told I did suffer Kidney damage, now I am have Chronic Kidney Disease stage 3.
I asked my new GP if that could have been caused by what occurred while I was in Hospital, answer , well it will not have helped.
So now we know why last Sunday I nearly got lifted for weeing up against a tree.
sounds like you arent fit enough to stand beside a tree never mind anything else.

But James I can sympathies with you, OMG must be getting soft.

Since i had my Prostate removed in 2013 I have lost some bladder control.
I know every public toilet there is and all suitable trees.
I go when and where I need to, the other day in the local Cemetry, no one there was looking.

When you got to go you got to go, there are a lot in my situation, not unusual to see some on the road side on any road here in Oz.
W do not stand on ceremony when it comes to a leak.
I was diagnosed with prostrate in 2022, since then undergone hormone and radio therapy treatment, cancer is in remission.
Like you John, I know where every toilet is, going anywhere now, got to take into account toilet breaks.

James, joking apart you appear to have more than your fair share of medical problems.
Take care mate, just hang in there you will be fine.

Thanks John, you take care , anything happens to you , who will I have to banter with.
Years in an engineroom has left it's mark breathing in asbestos for instance, as it has for many.

#37 Maybe the ringing in the ears can be put down to the ambulance as it comes to collect you for one of your buggered up joints ( hope it wasn’t Marijuana ) ? Tony. JS

I think I would struggle to get one these days, unless alrady croaked. Fortunately both my knees have lasted longer than the estimated 10 years, and I doubt whether I will be offered elbows, shoulders or fingers anytime soon. So I will just perservere with the lubrication regime - cod liver oil, beer, whisky, rum in various combinations, still searching for the perfect formula.

My wife had both hips replaced 9 or 10 years ago and they reckoned they should last 20 years. JS….a drop of cod liver oil in your whiskey should keep you regular at least. Cheers JS.
