Mugged by Mugs
Shocking video shows couple hauled to ground as robbers rip £28,000 Rolex watch from man's wrist in Camden.
The Rolex had a Rubber strap, think if I was daft enough to pay £28,000 for a watch I would want a bit more for my money than a Rubber strap.
I reckon the Muggers may well be peed off when they find it is a $50.00 Singapore special
Well well just scrolling yahoo home page the watch has gone up in value by £2000, it is now valued at £30,000 according to LBC.

Maybe the rubber strap has bounced the price up!

Re: Mugged by Mugs
The original muggers are the "label" originators, mugs are paying mega prices for not particularly high value goods just because of the label.
Years ago when my son was married to a label snob, she took the hump because he would not spend £500 on a pewter bracelet for her.
I said I could understand 500 for a gold bracelet but there is no pewter worth that much, he said there is if it has Louis Vuiton written on it.

I see on todays news that the price of gold has rocketed up, won't effect me, don't posses very much of value in those terms, best value i have got is my lovely wife, there's twice as much of her from when we were married 58 years ago !!, lol

Re: Mugged by Mugs
Quick one on Kruger Rands, i helped my eldest son move about 10 years ago, and we hired the van here on the Island, and moving up to Bury st Edmunds, we found the rear doors would not lock on the van, but planned to back the van up to the brick wall on our arrival, and unload the next morning. On the way up, he suddenly wondered what Jess, his wife had done with his Kruger Rands that he had, he phoned her on the mobile, and she told him they were in the tin with the chocolate coins, seriously, that was their hiding place. Once we knew they were in the back of the van, that was it, we had to unload that night, i was completely knackered at the end of the day.
