Re: Icon of the seas
Along with many others on site. I prefer to keep my memories of the sea in my mind and not try to chase a dream that can never come true. Have heard that they alter course to avoid any rough weather for safety sake as the ships are just to unsteady. Rough calculations on this new one. I make it around eight thousand people on board all up and that would mean a bloody lot of life boats to cater for that many for sure. No much prefer to just book into a casino or really up market hotel that go on one of those monstrocities or any modern ship in fact. Still remenice at night thinking how I used to get rocked to sleep of a night like a little child. Is it true that to just get table service now it costs extra as I heard that you have to line up at the buffet and help yourself. Can just imagine that with all those olds with mobility problems like most of us have. Just thinking of it brings a grin to the old boat race.
That's the way the mop flops.
My thanks to Brian for this site.
