Well let's hope they can deliver on time and on budget. If so can only be good for ship building in the UK.
Another outfit who have used H&W in the recent past is MJM Marine who have recently announced they have won a £120 million contract in refurbishment of cruise ships. This is creating another 100 new jobs within the Newry based group.

Let us just hope there is no 'gremlins' there.
Recall the Titanic, Britanic, and Olympic came from there.

John, H&W built over 1600 ships , they did not all sink. Britanic was a war casualty, either hit a mine or a torpedo. RMS Olympic sailed the seas for 24 years. Even the Royal Navy could not sink her. Captain Smith involved in that wee incident with HMS Hawke?

I only wish Canada would adopt this method, but politics and promises promises takes forever to build a ship here and the costs are quadrupeled by UK standards, the USA ship building is another joke.
