Most people live in highly populated areas according to my reckoning, and that's where most of the trouble is. Yes there's lots of villages and small towns where there are no problems, but not many people live in those areas.

There are a few misconceptions about the Jap surrender, Stalin told them that if they didn't surrender within a certain time Russia would invade, the Japs saw what they did to Germany, the Emperor did the deal, instead of him being hoisted up on the nearest tree he lived.
Thousands of Aussie and other countries troops fought to keep the Japs off Australian soil, now while they are still finding bodies of Australian soldiers buried on the Kocoda Trail, our cowardly PM invites Jap troops to train in Aus, this within living memory of the war. The Labour rank and file are screaming.

Home made bombs, weed killer from the pharmacy mixed with soot from the fire place and stuffed inside short lengths of gas pipes.
Short fuse and along run in the hope you got far enough away.

On a different noter about the bomb.
Ladt from USA on radio today talking about Donald.
Claims that had he still been in office Putin would not have attacked Ukraine.
Reason, Putin could not read Trump but considered sleepy Joe an easy read.

Or maybe Putin has Trump in his pocket? Trump is a basket case along with those who refuse to accept he is a megalomanic

Megalomania is an obsession with power and wealth, and a passion for grand schemes. Megalomania or megalomaniac may also refer to: Narcissistic personality disorder Grandiose delusions Omnipotence (psychoanalysis), a stage of child development Diffinately sums him up even to his childish antics.
Who remembers how Kim Jong Un played Trump for the fool he is.

But to balance my post President Biden needs to retire and let someone younger and more capable to occupy the office of US president.

Well one thing I know is that we are cosying up to the Yanks once again [With Apologies to Rod}a country that has had over 300 mass shootings this year and god knows how many single shootings, and we have them down here training with our blokes. Four dead from a helicopter crash into the sea, copters that should never have been flying, as they have had so many problems they were grounded time and again. Here Governments change but instead of getting better for the people they get worse as the new lot want to be seen as bigger and tougher than the last..

Des, the gang wars on the up again here in Melbourne, another one shot dead last week.
But I saw some figures in London on crime, 42000 unsolved burglaries last year in London.
140 stabbings with some 90 fatal, so common no longer make the news.
In center of city not unusual to see a Police car sirens and lights followed by an ambo in similar form.
From what I saw on average about every 10 minutes or so.

John perhaps the reason you do not notice crime in Australia, big country and nobody lives there what 25million? there is nearly 9 million live in greater London alone.
To be honest when I go on holiday I do not spend my time checking out the crime figures.
