#9 Des watching some of these quiz shows on Tele makes one think that most of the contestants are robots and their programs have not been done correctly. Some of these contestants are only in their middle years and most of us when in our teens could have answered without thinking , one thinks twice about this so called education where everyone has a degree. Especially when they are going to be programmed by such as the contestants . Cheers JS

Along with all the other "crap" that's down there. I recall loading a significant amount of "spent caustic" in a refinery, so hazardous that no one was allowed on deck during loading, deck lads doing ullages had to wear breathing apparatus on deck; it was discharged mid Atlantic.
I also went aboard a Mexican registered tanker in Middle docks So. Shields which was stripped of everything of any value before being taken into Atlantic and sunk. It was considered too hazardous to scrap because it had only carried tetraethyl lead (lead additive for petrol).

Beauforts Dyke is another man produced calamity waiting to happen. That thing goes bang could be real disaster. Over 1 million tons of explosives chemicals and other undeclared rubbish has been dumped there over many years. Big bang and the North West of Scotland & North East coast of Northern Ireland could be a lot further apart than they are now.

My wife still insists that the biggest polluters today are the airlines, politicians ignore it, one can see how many planes are used by them for these waste of time conferences, while telling others to use video. Thousands of flights every day just in the Sates god knows how many world wide.

Only fatcats own aircraft, and politicians only stop us plebs from polluting their air. Unless we want to pay to do so.
