Re: Freedom of Speech is dead
Recovering costs due the NHS is the job of the Almoner. As little seems to be forthcoming clearly they have non-jobs. I suggest in the light of this Almoners are shown the door and all foreign nationals provide proof of insurance, or other form of payment at admission. Too many have arrived here and cost our NHS millions only to be allowed to escape. In the event no payment is forthcoming 'go to the back of the queue.' Massive changes could be made in three months, to the betterment of our indigenous citizenry. Another matter that needs urgent attention, MRI scanners, I understand these items of equipment lie idle for at least 16 - 18 hours a day. Why? Is there a problem with working shifts? I think everything boils down to our Government v the haves and haves not. The elite are cushioned from NHS lengthy queues as they enjoy private medicine. The answer lies in the hands of the electorate .

Methinks they should do that to a lot of visitors or make sure they have medical insurance to cover their trip. It would certainly it would certainly stop the huge sums that the NHS can never recover from individuals who think the NHS is free for everybody.
If the illegal immigrants can pay £5000 to get here then they can darn well pay all their housing, medical expenses etc, etc!

Re: Freedom of Speech is dead
Hazel, so bloody true mate.
But freedom of speech is definitely under attack.
Our feral Attorney general has introduced laws to parliament which if passed will see certain forms of free speech banned.
One is attacks on parliamentary comments and any form of comments of immigrants no matter where from.
Happy daze John in Oz.

England own goal when declared first innings in the first test, Second test with the aid of not being able to hold a catch that and poor sportsman ship by the Aussies, that stumping incident, poor taste all round. Roll on the 4th test at Old Trafford, England weather permitting will win there leading to a nail biter at the Oval.
Spent a few days many years ago watching Lancashire play the odd county match at Liverpool cricket club Agberth, well more time in the beer tent

Re: Freedom of Speech is dead
You have to remember, there's Oz rules, ie that stumping, sandpaper , under arm against the NZ, cricket in my opinion has sunk to a new low, sledging, insults etc can only lead to lower behaviour. i also await incoming.
