So John how far from were you live is this all taking place ? I understand why Australia will continue producing coal and gas and Iron Ore a drop of oil. Outside of the odd sheep & Beef cattle what else are major exports from Australia Wine & Beer I suppose.
    Don't stop exporting wine please.

About 30 klm, it was in the city we live out by the airport.

UK will be buying beef and lamb from us along with wine.
Coal and LPG goes all over the world, we sell to any one who wants to buy.
Thing UK may have taken some LPG from us , possibly iron ore as well

The new mine in Queensland is a two hour flight from us, similar for Nothern Territory,

When it comes to money, no matter where your political leanings are, there are no scruples. This is the labour party with all their pontifications on global warming etc.

Australia hasn’t shipped a single observed LNG cargo to Europe in Bloomberg tracking going back to 2016. While Britain’s gas grid is separate from the continent’s network, the two are closely linked via pipelines. The UK has little domestic storage and generally sends any excess gas through its links to the European Union.

Most of Australian LNG goes to Japan and laterly China. It really does not make economic sense to import Austrailian LNG especially on older LNG carriers if they do not have Reliquefaction plant.

Just keep sending the wine John, the Lamb & Beef from Australia is rubbish, New Zealand lamb is good quality and we have our own excellent Prime Scottish & Irish Beef, Welsh Lamb is not so bad either.

    Keith.
They were talking about doing this over twelve months ago, the UN wants a squib up its backside, they have plenty of money to hold conferences all over the world, if this was so dangerous why have they waited so long.

James. you never can tell where any item will surface, only sid maybe UK took LPG from us.

As to Lamb and Beef, we only export the good stuff mainly to Japan, they will pay a premium for it, but what we send to Uk is all export quality, all grass fed and no more than two years old cattle.

Why is our wine better than most EU ones, simple.

It is all to do with the sugar content.
In EU countries they are allowed to add sugar during the fermentation process, here in Oz that is not allowed.
We rely on the natural sugar produced by excess sunlight to do the job.

Asa to all the Extinction rebels and Stop Oilers, I wonder if they understand what their stops would do,

Do they understand what is made from Oil.
Plastic for their mobiles, lap top cases, bumper bars on many EV, oil for the wind turbines.
Then coal for coking to make steel for their EV , cases for the mobile, the list goes on.

But of course they think the fairies will provide it all.

Extinction rebellion, just extinct them all.

There is nothing wrong in wanting to improve air quality, Is it really necessary for Double Decker buses to be running through city centres day and night and are not often ever half full apart from rush hours. Bring back the Trolley bus or trams.
    Chelsea Tractors should be banned.

I live in a small village in Berkshire, and 6 times a day a double decker diesel driven buss creeps through very narrow street about 300 yards long in the village, belching out fumes and particulates. This street is used by mothers walking their children to school and then back home in the afternoon - and, at times, the street has been blocked because of these monsters being unable to move - whilst the kids in prams get a lungful of heavy diesel.
The bus operating company, ARRIVA, considered this issue serious one year ago .... eight letters/emails and phone calls and they still consider the issue serious - but have done absolutely bloody nothing about solving the problem.
Ironically, 2 miles away in the nearest town, medium sized electric busses plough their merry way on dual carriageways ...
    Oh the irony ...
Anyway, another email on its way to ARRIVA ... James's post has just triggered it off in my mind!!

An earth tremor in the UK happen on average of one very other day.

Earthquakes around the British Isles in the last 60 days

So all this in-still fear into the population is nonsense. All designed to line the pockets of the green investors like the billionaire who funds the Stop Oil protests and donates to the Labour government. "There's a sucker born every minute" is a phrase closely associated with P. T. Barnum comes to mind about all who are taken in by the leftwing/liberal/green/tory propaganda. Green graffiti now covers our land and seascape.
