    Looks more like she is taking him to the bank to see how much it had cost him, He doesn't look a happy chappie. Still that eveil smile might be something he intends doing.

    On the contrary John, IMHO most woman would have the right to be scorned ESPECIALLY if a manifestation of misogyny is present. The recent deliberate choice of a crass word in this thread to describe a slanderous sexual liaison. without proof speaks volumes...... would you agree?

    Marian, thankfully there are still some men who know their place and how to treat a lady.
    Having worked in a retirement village where 95% of residents were ladies one has to be careful, but had a wonderful time with what appeared like 50 grandmothers all looking after me.

    But there are also on occasions some females who would do better to just hide away.
    Some of the roughest speech I ever heard was from a bus full of ladies from a rope factory, learned a lot listening to them.

    The word misogynist seems to be getting an airing sadly these days a lot of men are barstewards.

    Not often you hear about misandry?

    Perhaps It all stems from the nursey rhyme

    What Are Little Girls Made of?
    Nursery Rhyme
    What are little boys made of?
    What are little boys made of?
    Frogs and snails,
    And puppy-dogs' tails;
    That's what little boys are made of.

    What are little girls made of?
    What are little girls made of?
    Sugar and spice,
    And all that's nice;
    That's what little girls are made of.

    See from the mothers knee boys are labelled from birth as not being nice.

    I am not making light of abuse suffered by anyone by the way.
    My son is going through a nasty divorce just now. I have witnessed at first hand what he has had to put up with.

    For those who feign ignorance of the term Misogyny, the following - an abbrevation, as have no desire to irk:

    ''Favoring men at the expense of women.
    No respect or regard for women's time and effort.
    Punishing women for calling out discrimination and sexism.
    Blaming women for conflict and expecting women to maintain social harmony.
    Ignoring or speaking over women.
    Rejecting women's ideas''.

    In other words, the belittling of women, the disenfranchisement of women, the sexual objectification of women. Misogyny can be found as we are all aware within sacred texts of religions, mythologies, and Western philosophy and Eastern philosophy. Quite depressing to say the least. Of course not all men are guilty of some of examples listed above and rather patronising to suggest otherwise IMHO.

    The cause: Psychology refers to the following: It's an attachment disorder. Some men failed in childhood to form a secure attachment to their mother or their first love left them feeling hurt and humiliated and yearning for feminine attention. Unfortunately that leaves some who desire a constant redress, to balance this irrational turmoil. 'Tis a facinating subject and not for type who can't or won't deal with their emotions.

    I always play fair and am more than willing to address and admit the least favourable aspects of men and women were applicable.... if anyone wants a considered and respectful debate. That old idiom of ''takes two to tango'' applies to us all.

    An old pig farmer in Yorkshire put it much more simply 'he were suckled on sour tits'
