Default ADNOC LPG & LNG carrier orders

    ADNOC have ordered 5 new VLGC's .

The five VLGCs, each with a capacity of 86,000 cubic metres, will be equipped with dual-fuel engine and will use LPG as primary fuel source.

They have also ordered 3 new LNG carriers.

Jiangnan Shipyard is also building large-size liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers for ADNOC L&S which are scheduled for delivery in 2025 and 2026.

Thing is with all this push for renewable energy , consider the fact the service life of an LNG Carrier is anywhere between 25 to 40 years. The G20 countries are aiming for net zero emissions for mid centry. Looks as if the middle east are stil going to do there own thing.

    Ugly thing or what VLGC

    Tell me about it.
During the Iraq unpleasantness because we were discharging Ro-Ro in Umm Qasr everyone on deck was wearing orange boilersuits, topped off with Navy blue body armour and helmets.
Nobody was allowed to wear identifiable uniform in case it attracted snipers.
Looking like you'd be Tango'd was however ok in 40+ celsius....
