Somehow James I think your comments come under the heading of 'The pot calling the kettle black' I didn't take offence it was an observation, I doubt there is much you can say will offend me, as the saying goes I have been insulted by better men than you.

As you have also said on more than one occasion 'have a cup of tea and relax'

Insulted by experts, and you do not come near one.

As to strikes, here in Oz it must be agreed to by the fair work commission.
Brought in many years ago in an effort to stop the wild cat ones.
The ones such as conducted by the builders laborers federation.
Big concrete pour arranged and about a quarter way through down tools and off we go.
But we get very few now as there are not that many unions left.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

#83 you could say John the freedom for one to withdraw his labour is going the same way as the freedom of speech. Soon people will be boasting of freedoms that no longer exist , only in the mind? JS

The present disturbances in France which are shown on TV , I am sure is much worse than the government there are loathe to admit. The media will be getting castigated and told to play down .They will not wish the rest of the world to perceive their problems in the nursery. You cannot change overnight of what we call a free world into a dictatorship , it takes time . And all that we have at present will have to be fought for. And the only way to do that is by public sentiment and NOT force of arms. Any government in our free world who show signs of dictatorship stands to go down the gurgler before they get too ensconced in their privileged position.JS

One thing John, I'm glad that I am out of the workforce of today. Now it is grab what you can and to hell with your mate, instead of one for all and all for one, its all for me and stuff everyone else. Its mainly the public service like the nurses who are sticking together to improve to the conditions, and not only their own but the patients in their care.
As for the strikes of old, nothing said about the likes of our old PM John Howard training troops in Saudi Arabia how to drive the container cranes so that Patricks, a private Company could use them to break a genuine wharf strike.

Every day freedom of speech is educed much brought about by the WOKE lot.
The federal attorney general made a statement a few years ago on ABC Q&A program that he was not in favor of the use of frees speech as it would always upset some one.

I do not give a rats a*** who I upset, i will continue to speak my mind on matters I feel are of concern to me.
