Default Australia Day January the 26 th.

Every year on this date the media causes friction by printing false information causing probably intentionally trauma to native Australians.
January the. 26th.1949 is the day that Australian nationality came into being and passports etc were issued.
Any other reason such as Captain Cook arriving is pure rubbish and is often used by the media , which only goes to prove that media information should always be taken with a pinch of salt. It’s about time they started printing the true reasons for the 26 January being chosen as Australia Day.

As I was in Australia 4 years after this date and putting two and two together that explains why the people all seemed to be going around with smiles of bliss on their faces. JS

First time I’ve seen that one Vernon. Rare to see the Associated Press to undermine their members stories , perhaps common sense does exist in all that Goo they call brains. Cheers JS
